A “citizen science” movement is sweeping the country. Now, astronomy enthusiasts who want to collaborate with leading scientists can visit Astronomy.com to join cutting-edge research projects.

Astronomy is teaming up with SciStarter to present featured Citizen Science projects through a dynamic project showcase.  Each week, a new citizen science project from SciStarter’s curated Project Finder will be featured on Astronomy.com, ranging from analyzing distant galaxies online to participating in outdoor star gazing. The projects will make it simple for everyone to jump in and contribute to scientific research.

Astronomy magazine’s staff is very excited to welcome SciStarter as a partner in spreading citizen science astronomy projects,” said David Eicher, editor of Astronomy magazine. “Together, we will raise awareness of the universe around us and make the world a better, smarter place.”

Researchers and team leaders who want their project featured can submit it to the SciStarter Project Finder for consideration by the SciStarter editors.
