During Citizen Science Day, we asked our community of citizen scientists to tell their stories and experiences in words and pictures. Here, we’ve summarized many of the amazing stories we’ve heard. There is still time to tell yours. You can post them to our Facebook page or tag us on Twitter with #MyCitSci. We can’t wait to hear your story!

Citizen science is
…exploring new places

…achieving great things

unnamed-1Citizen scientists and birdwatchers even helped to save the habitat of Great Horned Owls in Sonoma County from tree-trimming. Tom Rusert from Sonoma Birding summed it up well: “Citizen Science at work!  If we don’t do it who will?  Birding and birders can make a difference.”

…sharing your passion

…using new technologies

…learning new things

No matter what your citizen science story is, we’re happy to have you in our community! Keep exploring new places, achieving great things, sharing your passion, using new technologies and learning new things. And above all, keep telling your citizen science story!
